Due
to the numerous photos of the orphanages and ongoing projects
we have placed several photo albums on "Webshots". By
clicking on the link below you can view the albums including the
most recent photos.

Included
in those albums are images of the CIMIC and ISAF doantion in Dec
2004 and Jan 2005 as well as distributions of donated clothing
and supplies to refugee camps and villages. Since many
of the orphans come from, or live in refugee camps we are working
with volunteers who help support them as well.
You
will also find
images of Task Force Phoenix (76th Infantry Brigade - Camp Phoenix)
toy distribution.
The following
are examples are just a sample of the heartbreaking stories of
the children who actually make to the orphanages. They desperately
need your help.
Case
of young girl :
"S"
was ten years old and living in Herat when her mother passed away.
Her father remarried and "S" new step-mother did not
like her living in the home. Stating that she wasn't needed in
the home, the step-mother forced the father to send "S"
out of the house. Her father brought her to a busy market area
of a nearby town and abandoned her. She was found by a stranger
in the market who brought her to Allaudin Orphanage in Kabul.
This was three years ago. "S" is now 13 years old and
has never had a visitor since she arrived.
Case of
young boy:
"J"
was 10 years old living in Takhar province when the Taliban attacked
his town. He was out of his home when bombs and rockets hit. When
he returned, he witnessed his home, parents and siblings burning
inside. After the attack, with no immediate family members living,
"J" was taken by an uncle to Tahai Maskan Orphanage.
For the past three years, he has stayed within the walls of the
orphanage with no visitors and no place to go for the holidays.
